Introducing Phlux: The Next Evolution of Operational Intelligence

Over the past year, it has been impossible to escape conversations about AI. Every week brings a new model, a new tool, or a new prediction about how work will change. While the technology is advancing at an extraordinary pace, I believe many organizations are asking the wrong question.

The question is not,
“How do we add AI to our business?”

The better question is,
“How can intelligence become a natural part of how our business operates?”

For services organizations, this distinction matters. Success depends on making hundreds of decisions every day; about customers, projects, resources, profitability, and growth. Most organizations already have access to the data needed to make these decisions. Yet, many still struggle to identify risks early, spot emerging opportunities, or determine where to focus their attention.

The challenge has never been a lack of information. The challenge has been turning information into timely, actionable intelligence.

Operational Intelligence Has Always Been the Goal

Operational intelligence has been at the heart of iBE since the very beginning.
Long before AI became mainstream, we believed that better business outcomes come from connecting information across the entire services lifecycle. This belief shaped the way we built iBE bringing together sales, project delivery, resource management, operations, and financial data within a single platform. By eliminating silos and creating a unified view of the business, iBE helped leaders gain the visibility needed to make informed decisions and drive operational excellence.

Over the years, we have continued to embed intelligence directly into business workflows. Whether it is understanding resource utilization, tracking project profitability, identifying opportunities at risk, or monitoring operational performance, iBE has enabled organizations to move beyond transactional systems and gain meaningful business insights.

However, as businesses grow, so does complexity. More customers, more projects, more resources, and more decisions create an environment where even the best dashboards and reports are no longer enough. Leaders still need to review information, analyze trends, connect signals across different functions, and determine what requires attention.

The challenge is no longer access to data. The challenge is knowing what matters, when it matters, and what action should be taken next.

Why AI Matters Now

This is where AI creates a meaningful shift. Not because it replaces human expertise, but because it augments it.

Organizations today need more than visibility. They need intelligence that can continuously monitor business signals, identify emerging risks, surface opportunities, recommend next actions, and help teams respond faster to change.

Instead of waiting for a project review to uncover a delivery issue, intelligence can identify early warning signs. Instead of manually analyzing utilization reports, intelligence can highlight capacity constraints or underutilized resources. Instead of discovering profitability concerns after the fact, intelligence can help teams take corrective action while there is still time to influence outcomes.

The intelligence has always existed within the business and within the operational foundation that iBE provides. AI changes how that intelligence is delivered. It makes it more proactive, more contextual, and more actionable. It enables systems not only to inform users, but also to assist them, advise them, and continuously monitor for patterns that deserve attention.

For us, AI is not a departure from the original vision of iBE. It is the natural evolution of that vision moving from operational visibility to operational intelligence, and ultimately helping organizations make better decisions with greater confidence.

Introducing Phlux

That realization led us to the next step in our journey. Today, I am excited to introduce Phlux. Intelligence shouldn’t be something organizations search for. It should be embedded into the way they operate.

Phlux represents our vision for the future of Operational Intelligence. It is built on a simple idea: intelligence should not be something organizations have to search for. It should be embedded into the way they operate.

With Phlux, we envision a future where…

⚠️ Emerging risks are identified before they become issues.
💡 Opportunities are surfaced before they are missed.
🚀 Project teams spend more time delivering value and less time gathering information.
🎯 Every decision is supported by timely, contextual intelligence that enables greater confidence.

At its core, Phlux helps services businesses movefrom reacting to informationto operating with intelligence.

For existing iBE customers, Phlux represents the next evolution of the value we have always aimed to deliver. iBE has helped organizations gain visibility across sales, delivery, resources, operations, and financial performance. Phlux builds on that foundation by helping organizations move from visibility to foresight. Instead of relying solely on reports and dashboards to identify issues and opportunities, organizations can benefit from intelligence that continuously highlights what requires attention, what is likely to happen next, and where action can create the greatest impact. The goal is simple: help teams spend less time finding insights and more time acting on them.

Intelligence and Human Potential

As we have shared in previous articles, I do not believe the future is about AI replacing people. The future isn’t AI vs. People. It’s people empowered by Intelligent Systems. The real opportunity lies in combining human judgment, creativity, experience, and leadership with intelligent systems that help people perform at their best.

When intelligence supports people…

📈 Project leaders spend more time delivering successful outcomes and less time compiling status reports.
⚙️ Operations teams spend more time optimizing performance and less time searching for answers.
🎯 Executives spend more time shaping strategy and less time gathering information.

Technology should elevate human potential, not compete with it. That principle remains at the center of everything we are building.

Looking Ahead

Phlux is more than a new capability. It reflects our belief that the next generation of services organizations will be defined not only by their processes and systems, but by their ability to transform data into insight, insight into decisions, and decisions into action.

Data Insight DecisionsAction

The organizations that thrive in the years ahead will not simply have access to more information. They will be the ones that can continuously identify what matters, respond faster to change, and empower their people with the intelligence they need to succeed.

In the coming weeks, we will share more about the technical design behind Phlux, the principles guiding its development, and the real world business challenges it is designed to address.

For now, we are excited to share the vision.

Welcome to
Phlux

A future where intelligence is no longer something organizations search for but

it works alongside them.
